Overview

Overtime Tracker is designed with your privacy as a top priority. We believe your work data should stay yours, completely under your control. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device using SQLite database technology. This includes:

• Work shifts and punch times
• Job information and hourly rates
• User preferences and settings
• Earnings calculations and history

Your work data is never transmitted to cloud servers or external services. Everything you record stays on your device.

No Personal Information Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). The app functions entirely offline and does not require:

• Account creation or login
• Email address or phone number
• Internet connection for core functionality
• Location tracking or GPS data

Device Permissions

Overtime Tracker requests minimal permissions to provide its features:

• Notifications: Used only to remind you to punch in/out when you forget. You can disable this in Settings.
• Storage: Required for database backup and PDF export functionality.

All permissions are optional and the app will continue to function if you deny them (with reduced features for those specific functions).

In-App Purchases

The Pro version upgrade is a one-time purchase processed through the Google Play Store. We do not handle payment information directly. All payment processing is managed by Google Play's secure payment system. Your purchase is linked to your Google Play account and can be restored on any device where you're signed in.

Data Retention & Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Backup: Create manual backups of your database at any time.
• Restore: Restore your data from a previous backup.
• Export: Export your data as PDF for your records.
• Delete: Uninstall the app to permanently delete all local data.

Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. Two limited integrations exist:

• Google Play Billing: Handles the one-time Pro upgrade purchase and is governed by Google's privacy policy.
• App Updates: The app can check for a software update. This sends only the app version — never your work data or any personal information — and does not run during normal use.

Children's Privacy

Our app does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since all data is stored locally and no information is transmitted, there is no risk to children's privacy.

Data Security

Your data security is ensured through local-only storage. Since data never leaves your device, it's protected by your device's security measures (lock screen, encryption, etc.). We recommend:

• Using a secure lock screen on your device
• Regularly backing up your data
• Keeping your device's OS updated

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete rights to:

• Access all your data at any time
• Modify or delete any records
• Export your data for portability
• Permanently delete all data by uninstalling

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date. Since we don't collect user data, we cannot notify you of changes, so please review this policy periodically.
